Pedestrian Killed After Being Struck By Amtrak Train In Prince George's County (Developing)

One person was killed on Friday afternoon after being struck by an Amtrak train in Prince George's County on Friday afternoon, officials concerned.

Shortly after 4 p.m. on Dec. 13, first responders were called to the area of Powder Mill Road and Baltimore Avenue in Beltsville, where there was a distress call about a person who required a rescue.

According to the Prince George's County Fire Department, upon arrival, crews were met by a pedestrian who had been struck by the train and died after the collision.

CSX Police is now investigating the fatal strike.
